You are all quite lucky. I'm sporting the 3L V6 with the 5 speed, and it's been like 10 degrees around my area, that and I spank through gears shifting at about 6k just cause I like to be mean to the geazers doing 20mph in the left lane... but yeah I'm getting about 20mpg if I'm being a bastard through the gears. I decided to take it easy and shift at 3k for a full tank, I think I'm only pulling like 22-23mpg better though. Perhaps I should invest in some engine mods to correct this heinous millage... that or stop riding the engine so hard. On a full tank being mean I think I'd only net like 350 miles if I'm lucky.

Hey, I've just purchased a 2004 6 Wagon...it's got the V6. I'm a little concerned about gas mileage as i'll be doing a lot of city driving, so i've ordered the K&N filter. Does anyone know if the 'Airbox Mod' would improve gas mileage as much as a air intake kit, or even a little?

wow...my mileage is probably the shittiest there is....at most like 350 miles per tank. I almost always have the A/C on and have a K&N filter. does it matter THAT much that the a/c is on???

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 w/ the V6 and I get over 400. I calculated it out about a month ago and I got a little over 28mpg. This is almost all highway. This car is mint compared to what my Altima was getting.

I am lucky if I get 350.. I usually get about 325 unless I take some trips on the highway since all the driving I do is city driving.

Yea everything is running fine, tires aren't even that old...I don't know if maybe my filter is prematurely dirty or something...I'll have to check.
I'll cut back on the a/c too...*cross fingers*
