YET- another CEL question - 5/7/2007 5:48:28 PM

I recently had my fuel sending unit changed out, which was the reason for my CEL to be on. After it was fixed, I disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes. Drove it for around 50 miles, stayed off. Now, the light is back on. Does it have to go through it's cycles to shut off, or is it a different problem?

Sounds like you cleared the code just fine zmanzke if the light stayed off for 50 miles. Should not have to go thru any cycles. CEL coming back on is indicating another problem.  Code recheck would be a good idea at Autozone so we can see what else is going on. How did everything turn out with the problems involved with the sending unit?? Good I hope.

Yeah, they realized they were caught. Only charged a $25 mark-up, instead of the $200+. I tried re-doing the battery again, so far I have put almost 200 miles on it since monday and light has stayed off. I think the first time I did it, I didn't unhook the battery long enough
