im talking with the guy that has the CF and we will work a deal
I should be able to do it for you
it would only take a hour really
the rest would be dry time and shipping time. give me a week or so toget the CF and clear resin.
I might have to go out of town for that,

Ok turbo i bought my carbonfiber
bought 110 inchs of 30 inch wide and 20 inchs of 20 inch wide. for 100 bucks total.

you can start making the cut out if yo want. however do you want it 1 layer or 2?
on one layer you will be able to see through in, in 2 you wont be able too.
but 2 might be a little thick and stick out.

so you could paint the reflector black and then when with the rx7 logo you could remove the paint with some thinner in that spot.

im not sure what you will want

anyhow shipping will only be a couple bucks, Ill throw it between two pieces of wood, wrapped in cloth and USPS it.
however we can set something up when im done. still need to get resin/epoxy thats clear and two pieces of glass.

ill make two, one with 1 layer and another with 2 layers.

however ill spray the back of it with black and clear off the part where rx7 will be

also do you want it to have a satin finish or a gloss?

I dont think ill be able to get it a rounded edge. i can try with a 2nd piece. but if I can perfect it I can sell it as a fab.
yours will be free. (except shipping)
but what do you think I should charge? like 25-40 bucks?
I means CF isnt cheap. but thats maybe 18"x5" worth of fiber, plus resin and time?

Looks good, i'll make you a template myself and do the photoshopping. It seems about right, but I'd want the cutout to be larger, and I know the font I want to use (and what'd sell bette ris the factory badge match). I'll get it to you by tomorrow.

You could charge probably $30

remember print out the template and hold it up to your 3rd brake light

Also today I ordered my clear resin and peel ply so I can do it for you. also i got the rest of the stuff.

30 bucks maybe, but after time and labor, maybe alittle more, cause mats are expensive.
but its free for you, a learning exp.

Thanks! I'm looknig forward to it. I'll also give you actualt measurements at the bottom of the page so when you can print it out, you can make sure your printer didn't do some weird crop factor.
