alright, i want to get a ps3, probably not till christmas time tho, so im just doing research tho (my car comes first, lol)
anyways, i was talking to the guy at EB games about the PS3, and he was saying the xbox was a better deal, and better overall.
i currently use a PS2, so im used to using it.... and ive hardly ever played xbox.
most games released on ps2 or ps3 are eventually release on xbox, so the game factor really isnt an issue...
(i just want to get a new system for when grand theft auto 4 comes out). i was told the graphics are just as good, if not better for the xbox 360.
so....what is everyone's opinion??
p.s., ps3 is $650 for the 60gb model, and i can get xbox 360 used for $300.
and theres also a sale right now that if u trade in your old system and 3 games, you get $100 off 360 or ps3

ok first off the PS2 is being under utilized. they are making games still for them that are not even using the full capablities of the ps2.
then they push out the PS3 but game companies are having a very very tough time programing for them so the games are not even using the full capabilites of the ps2 standards.
IMO go with a nintendo wii.
why a wii?
well they are releasing games that use to be exculsive to xbox or ps1/2/3
also the wii's are really fun, get a bunch of drunk people together and playing tennis or boxing, lol thats just a blast.
the graphics and play style for the wii is unmatchable to any game system,
in what other game system do you actually have to "cast" while fishing, or swing your sword in a sword fight.
yes sounds dumb, but go play one, its the best time with a game system that I have had.

lol, i knew someone was gonna say the nintendo wii..
ive never had a nintendo console, and i dont intend to buy one... no offense...
the games just seem, kinda, kid-ish
i like the racing games, and the grand theft auto games, and im not much of a sports fan, and i hardly ever watch them on tv...
if i got the xbox i'd probably get forzo motorsports, and project gotham.... and then the usual grand theft auto...and halo
i just trying to figure out which console has the best graphics, the best (shit, lost of words) tech stuff inside (wow.. lol)....
the best deal, and what everyones opinion is on them....
like, imo, the gamecube was crap... N64 was cool for a while, and the Wii, while is a sick concept, would just seem to get boring after a while....
im a pretty hardcore gamer, at times, and if i got a new system, id probably go online with it... depending which game and stuff...

ok to save from me writing a 3 page report on thsi matter imma keep it simple *ahem*
Give the ps3 some time to get better games in since your waiting till x-mas to get one it would be worth it
The 360 right now is the best

I'm getting a PS3 when my PS2 craps out...All the PS2 games you currently have will work with the PS3.
I'm waiting for the prices to come down as they always do. (Paid $129 for my PS2....:)

the guy at EB games said that the online thing for the PS2 is free, so u have a bunch of immature kids playing around on it...
while the xbox online costs money, so the more hardcore gamers are mostly on it....
if i get the xbox, i'll keep my ps2, so that way i dont have to buy all new games....
if i get the ps3, i'll trade in the ps2, as well as some games that i never played

and the guy also said that most of the xbox 360 games will be released for PS3, either at the same time, or soon after the release...
like the grand theft auto games are for both.
mostly, halo, forza, project gotham and a couple others are exclusive to xbox
while games like gran turismo are exclusive to ps2...
im actually kinda leaning towards xbox now, cuz the games i just listed are pretty sick... i've played them at best buy, and they're amazing!
