Interesting thread -
Cars I've owned; 1948 Chevy 2 door coupe - first car - my Dad helped me buy it
                           1955 Chevy BelAire 2 door - with the V8
1959 Austin Healy Sprite - cute little British racing green roadster
1961 Sunbeam Alpine roadster - pretty and refined after the Sprite
                           1965 Pontiac GTO - 389/Hurst 4spd/hd suspension - a beast
1967 Mustang 2 door - 289ci - dark green with saddle tan interior - nice
1964 Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale - I restored and showed this one
1973 Pinto station wagon - practical, reliable, inexpensive, good car
1936 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup - I did a total resoration on this one - all original
1991 Subaru Loyale - totally reliable - never lets me down.
                            and of course, my
1992 Mazda b2600i pickup - cab plus 4x4 - I really enjoy it and it's been good to me
The one I loved the most and still daydream about - the Alfa - gorgeous body/slick 5speed/wonderful mechanical sounds/beautiful Italian red
The one I hated the most - the '55 Chevy - let me down more times than I want to remember.  constant problems.
Best driver - the Mustang - a joy to drive.
Worst driver - the GTO - handled like a truck - wife hated it
Most fun - probably the Sprite.  Raspy exhaust, drove it petal to the metal all the time, almost froze to death in it in Colorado winters.
I have great memories of all of them

Rolomac

It's an old thread BUT I will contribute.
A buddy of mine has an original 1948, MG, TD type, convertable right from England. Yep! The stearing wheel is on the right hand side of the car. Interesting to try and drive in Canada.

You have certainly owned and driven some interesting cars/trucks over the years, rolomac.
I almost bought a '59 "Bug Eye" myself once, but the owner and I couldn't agree on the price.  Also, I was taller than the windscreen, so for a daily driver it would've been a bit impractical.
W/a 950cc engine and a single HS-4, you HAVE to drive those things pedal to the metal.
They are a blast to drive though.
Now how in the world do you get from some of those others cars to a Pinto SW?
