Hello all!  Purchased my 05 3S Sedan a few days ago as a commuter car (I plan to spend a lot of time in it!) and so far the only downfall I'm aware of is the crappy stock speakers.  It looks like I have 4 speakers in the doors and 2 tweeters in the front doors.

Has anyone doen a simple speaker replacement upgrade and can point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I hear a lot of negatives about the stock speakers...but my 05 3s system sounds great! The only upgrade was a 10" MTX  sub and amp in the trunk...and man does it sound nice!!

are you keeping your stock head unit on it? i was talking to this guy who owns a car audio store here he said JL has this converter that cleans out your signal from your unit to make your speakers sound like it was coming off from an aftermarket deck. im planning to keep my head unit and just get that and change the speakers on it. i have the kenwood components and 6x9 plus either im putting my mtx back in or get my clarions in a box and run them. but he said it should sound good. just a thought check out JL's website

Thanks for the heads-up.  Yes I am keeping my factory radio to minimize on the rice factor but I just ordered some Infiniti Reference 6x8 components for the fronts and 6x8 2-ways for the rear doors.  The product you're talking about is called the JL Audio Clean Sweep.  I'll definitely look into it if it's worth it.

Anyone have any experience installing these Infiniti Reference components in the front doors?  Do I have to cut to make the tweeters fit?
