Yatzee! i had an epifony while i was driving one day and it just happens that it worked. this is crazy! well here goes................i was on my way to NYC and i was doing about 110mph messing with an A6.............everytime i hit 120mph he'd blow by me. so i tried something i did a while back to my acura legend coupe. i pulled my e-bake up until the e-brake light came on and the handle hit its 1st click(no friction from the brakes that low in the clicks). sure enough i was doin 145mph before i let off. so i slowed down dropped the e-brake sped back up and sure nuff stopped me at 120mph. one-clicked the e-brake and the speed climbed well over 130mph. i'm think that the e-brake is tied into the speed control system and when its up, the ecu thinks its's parked and deactivates the limiter or something like that.

try it........i hope it works for u other guys/girls craving higher speeds. i have a 2004 6s if that matters at all

that's actually pretty smart I wouldn't even want to know how you found that out "hey I'm going 120, let's put up the e-brake" haha but my car has no governor so I'm finbe but that's a pretty nifty trick.

Yeah, my car "fades" by 120. It's not that you need to go faster, it's that you know this car could. Besides, WTF! Why put a speedo that goes to 150mph! Why put $200 V rated Michelins on it! I know, I know. Just ranting. I had read at another forum some time back where this guy was fiddling with resistors in the VSS sigan wire to "trick" the car into going faster. I don't know exactly what the point would be, though, because you'd never know just how fast that was with the speedo off.

Come on guys! We need a technogeek with a laptop to come up with a way to hijack our PCM and mod the limiter!!!

Yes,the car does shutdown at 120mph,I have done it in both my 6's. I have done 167 on my motorcycle so I guess I am satisfied with that! I just did it in the cars purely to see where it was governed. Generally 80-90mph is enough to prove a point though!..lol

Must be the Super-limited edition if it is doing that then since neither my 04 or 05 will do that without the governor kicking in. Same with everyone in the local Mazda6 club here in Colorado too! Must be a california thing I guess!

...well, having the turbo and the Haltech to bypass the fuel cut and raise redline to 8k helps no matter what state your in
