I too would love an answer to this question,I took mine up to 120mph this morning and that is where the governor kicked in and the pedal went limp on me. Kinda freaked me out at first..lol
Kinda sucks putting all this aftermarket stuff into the Motor, etc then getting shutdown by the car..lol

it's limited by fuel cutoff, so just run a standalone FMU and your golden. i'm running a Haltech and have been up to 140 so far.

I was wondering which Haltech program you are running? and how much did you pay for it, I am really interested about it. do you have any problems with check engine lights?
Thanks
Dave

it's not program really, it's a a full standalone unit. i have a turbo on the car and it's what i use for fuel...i think you can get one in the 600-800 range? i have the F10X unit

how hard was it to find a turbo manifold for the car?

and is it anything like working with the old ford 2.3 turbo motor out of the mustang/tbird?
there is an amazing aftermarket for those cars, it would be great if it cameover a little bit to us and we could reap the benefits

nothing like he old 2.3's unfortunately...it's the same as the focus and fusion. finding a turbo manifold is easy now, there are a good 4-5 companies to choose from.

unless you're speedo is off from tires, going down hill or not in the US, there is no way to surpass the gov. Unless somehow you got the one freak or something?

i dont know if this will work for ours 6's but. i have a 300+hp ford escort and i hated having all that power and the darn ecu would make the car stop at like 105mph.............so what i did was get the wiring diagram for the ecu and found the wire for speed control and cut it and put a switch in line with it in a nice hidden spot. and when i needed to go faster than the 105mph limit i just flipped the switch and she would accelerate until i was bout to over rev past redline which was about 6200rpms in that car.

so im thinkin the same thing would work any ecu. but for some reason it didnt work with an automatic(it got something to with the speed control being tied in with the shift schedule of the car) the thing would come outta first.........i did it to my boys auto integra and auto escort, but it works on manuals. anyone willing to try it, or do i have to? but i guess i could have tried waiting till i got to my last gear and hit the switch then it wouldnt have to switch gears..........hey maybe i'll go do that right now. but it does work.........only thingg is that if u leave the limit off and turn the car off and start it back up it will throw a speed control code......but easily fixed by flipping the switch and restarting the car........i may try it with my 6
