Anybody know if there are any 2006 Mazda 3 service manuals out there, preferably from Haynes, but Chiltons or Mazda would do. The nearest Mazda dealer to me is 150 miles away. I have tried Ebay, but the only service manuals I could find ended at the '05 year. I'd really like one that is for the '06 year

Also anyone with oil change experience? The owner's manual says the oil filter requires a special wrench to reinstall. Is this wrench special only to Mazda, or is it special to the type of oil filter housing regardless of car manufacturer? From what I was able to see of the filter it looked like a socket wrench would fit.

Not sure about the manual.  You might check Advanced Auto or the like online.  I think those big chain stores have websites.

Mazda will sell you a special wrench for the filter housing but it's not necessary.  A small strap wrench works well as it won't scuff anything and provides plenty of grip.  The filter housing has a catch point it seats in once it's tightened enough.  You'll be able to feel it.
