I've been contemplating the purchase of a remote start kit from mazda which runs 300 bucks. Do you guys have any experience with this kit? How easy is it to install yourself or should you take it to the dealer? Any other cheaper alternatives? Thanks guys

If you are dead set on keeping your factory remote and wasting alot of money go for it!
You can buy a remote start and aftermarket security for that much money though and have MORE functionality and replace the factory remote and still control all the same stuff with it.
