hey all ...i got this mazda 929 1985 model...its old but i want to put in a new head unit....ive gont through every fricken screw in the car....and it still wont come out! if theres anyone who knows how to install a head unit in this model or even know how to take one out...please please please contact me!

Exactly what are you trying to take out? I am assuming stereo but am not sure what head unit you are talking about?

i have to take out my head unit huey, i need to basically rip apart the middle console so i need to know where all the screws are and how to take them out :)

We did not have a 929 in US untill 1988 model year. Workshop manual gives no directions but have an 88 that has been sitting out back for a couple of years needing a transmmission. Does your dashboard look like the first picture? If so then no screws need to be removed. On second pic you see a white thing on right side. Insert a flat blade screwdriver here on both sides and pry entire head unit and surrounding trim outward. Last pic is what the retaining clips look like with head unit removed so you get the idea of what you are removing. Hope this helps.

yeah thanks for your help dude, unfortunately they are totally different lol, i ended up using a saw hahahahah, so i got it out and in the process of making some brackets :) thanks for your help again

Sorry pics didn't help. Was the earliest 929 model that we have and hoped it would be similar.
