Picked up a green 1998 626 LX, with a MANUAL trans!! 75000 miles. Drives real nice but I noticed some "problems". The shifter can be hard to put into gears sometimes, and it feels rather loose (not precise). Is that common with this car and year? Can I get an aftermarket shifter to improve the situation? If so where? Also, the AC is not cold. When I was test driving it, I forgot to check this since the weather was real nice out. Is it a big deal to fix this? I think it's just refilling the refrigerant right? I'm pretty excited to have this car for a part time commuter vehicle and look forward to learning more about it. This is my 1st front wheel drive car.
