i have a 2005 mazda 6 2.3lt and i got a cai and i was wondering if anyone knew exactly how to install i have a good idea but i would hate to have xtra wires left over cause theres a wire harness that goes into the stock intake and i dont think there is a spot for it on the new cai theres only a spot for the sensor

what type of cai did you get?  No instructions?

Typically, you have to transfer the Mass Airflow Sensor from the stock intake to the new one, it usually goes in between the Air filter and the intake tube.  You'll just undo the clamps from the throttle body to the factory intake tube, take that off, take off the air filter cover, the air filter, and remove the bottom of the air filter housing, usually a bolt or two and a plastic screw rivet or something.  In the new kit you should have an intake tube, filter, clamps, rubber sleeves/adaptors and maybe some hardware.  This is just a rough installation explanation, I'll look more into it, or maybe somebody who's done one on a 4 cyl would know already?  What type you have may help some too.
