truck shutting down

1owner -> truck shutting down (12/22/2006 6:10:03 PM)

Greetings & happy holidays to all.
I have a problem w/ my 91 B2200 that hopefully can be diagnosed by someone on this site.
Today, while attempting to accelerate from a stop warm, the truck "stumbled", then caught. It proceeded to quit running a few times when decelerating// coasting under 1200 revs, but would restart with little trouble. After sitting awhile, I started her up and she wouldn't run between 500-1100 revs. Anything over 1500 was fine. Changed the plugs, started her up and she quit running after 10 minutes on her own. Tried again w/ same results. 170K on the clock. Automatic trans. Any help appreciated as I love this thing to death.

Solved myself. Sediment in tank.

 Thanks for your post 1owner. You may have answered the problem I have been having. I will check that out on my 1990 B2200. I only have about 2500 milles on my rebuild.

Still doing the same thing intermitantly. Could it be some deceleration device?

did you replace all filters?

monstermazda -> RE: truck shutting down (1/2/2007 5:34:34 PM)

youll also need to flush out the lines

I think there's only one fuel filter on this truck - right at the gas tank. I'm not sure how you flush the lines on it. Any detailed info would be appreciated. B.t.w.- Could the idle circuit have dirt lodged in it?

on my 86 and on my 89 there is a canister on the passenger side firewall

Still trying to diagnose...

to flush disconnect the line at both ends, and flush with gas, go from the engine back, with gravity, catch all the fluid to see what comes out. did you look for the filter on the passenger side firewall?
