Car & Driver mentioned a CAI and cat-back exhaust that will add an additional 30 HP. I assume this is NOT the current Mazdaspeed CAI and exhaust featured on Mazda's site? BTW, those whose dealers say they can't get the color you want are full of poop. They can swap with other dealers with no problem.

They are unique parts designed for the Mazdaspeed3, not the Mazdaspeed accessories currently available for the Mazda3.

Ok guys and gals, i just joined up here after reading all the posts you guys have made. Ive been wanting to get into a MazdaSpeed 3 since the day i saw it at the LA Auto Show in January. I really want the Grand Touring in Red. Well since i didnt "reserve" one most dealerships here want to mark up the MSRP 2000$ more than what it is. Although this is not a problem usually, i feel like i have to pay it as ive heard there is only a limited quantity of these cars available. Is this true?

Shop around, you can find them for MSRP.

I would say the longer you wait, the more chance you are going to pay more than sticker. I got mine a bit below MSRP (the dealer is an old friend of mine). But I know for a fact the the other one was sold for sticker only. Where do you live?

I emailed the mods about making this thread a sticky, but so far they have not responded. I think the S3 is important enough to warrant this, but apparently the powers that be, do not.

So how many S3s have you seen around your city or town? For me "0". Another one was purchased from the same dealer as I got mine, but I have yet to see it tooling around. Hell, the people here have never heard of it. They automatically assume it is a regular 3.

I'll be surprized to see any for a year or so. There will only be less than 20 in this metro area of almost 1 million in 2007. An MS3 will be a needle in the haystack. I drive quite a bit, so lots of people will see mine, but most will have no clue what it is. My last car had 6500 built the first year, around 3500 the second, and after two years, I would usually go 6 months before spotting another one in traffic.
