Hello all. My wifes 1989 V6 2WD mpv is giving us some problems lately. The check engine light came on a while ago but we didn't notice any problems at the time. Recently we have gone to start it and it turns over but will not start. We come back in 15 minutes and it reluctantly starts. Then for maybe a week or so it starts just like it should. Another thing it does is go from a regular idle speed to about 1700 rpm for no apparent reason. I wanted to find the diagnostic box so I could do the wire and LED trick to get any codes out of it. If someone can give me some insight with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
