It the problem happening when going down the highway or while sitting in traffic at low speeds?

either way it will overheat but the weird thing is that it wont leak coolant anywere except from the small hose on the reservoir but thats what that hose is there for, ive been thinking on replacing the radiator or get it cleaned cause it might be clogged but if u all have a different answer and know a better way to fix it i will appreciate the comments and again thanks in advance

Is there a lot of miles on the car? I would first consider replacing the thermostat if it happens at any speed. It is likely not opening all the way to allow proper coolant flow. It would be a good idea to replace it anyways.

It is possible the radiator is restricted too. It seems like the radiator should last a little longer though. I bought mine with 150K and had to replace the radiator because of this problem.

The gauge should read about 3/8 ths to 1/2 way up the scale. My car reads about about 3/8 ths of the way up during the cold times and about 1/2 way during summer with the a/c on. This is with South Texas temps.
