racso,

Sorry to hear about your issue.

How many km/miles had you done before the tyres required replacement and what model of 5 do you have 1.8, 2.0?

Are you pursuing the issue any further with Mazda Espana?

Cheers
Rob

Thanks Robs.

Is a 2.0 diesel. The tyres was changed with 21000 kms. There are more owners on the www.clubmazda.es (new mazda owners club) with the same problems, but this is a too recent club and with a lot of work to do yet.

If we haver some news of this issue i will get back to you.

Cheers

Hola Racso, sorry that is about the limit of my Spanish (other than Cerveza!!)

I have had my tyres replaced about 4000 miles ago. The tyres continued to show significant wear, particularly on the rear. The dealer rotated the tyres about 1000 miles ago. The old fronts which are now the rears are showing significant wear already.
see this report also.

Hello,

Talking to some dealers, they told us that the problem is not with the aligment, that it is with the type of tyres. The told us that now the are mounting Bridgeston instead of Dunlop. I'm not sure if they use now bridgeston but when they replace my tyres they mount the Dunlop SP Sport MAXX. Could you tell me the model of the tyres of your cars?

Thanks

Regards

Alas the type of tyre doesn't stop the wear. The Dunlops wore and the replacement AvonZZ3's are wearing in exactly the same places.

Unfortunately I wouldnt reccomend Bridgestones, they are no good either.
I had to change the Bridgestones on both My 6 and MX5 because they did not perform well at all especially in the wet.

All depends on what type of Bridgestone. I've currently got RE050A's on my other car and they are one of the best I've ever had, especially in the wet. They also do an extra load version which I would fit to the 5 without hesitation. Although the alignment problem is something that I will experience in a few thousands miles no doubt.
