Mazda (Zoom Zoom) needs to make a motorcycle. After all, there were rotary motorcycles back in the day, made by Suzuki I believe, and I know that Mazda could make some wicked bikes today.

Anyone agree?

it's probably no where in their business model, but they do have a big name. You would think if a company wanted to, they could manufacture bikes and get rights to the Mazda name, and perhaps thier rotary engine technology as well.

the thing with the other japanese companies, or at least suzuki and honda, they began with small engine works..mazda would sort of half to double back..and now that theyre a ford company, i could never see it happen.

A little Mazda history, the first motor vehicle, they manufactured were three wheeled motorbikes. There first car just has Honda did

yeah, they are a quasi-american company now. that's why i think if they were to get into the motorcycle industry it would be more likely through licensing than direct investment

Suzuki made the RE5 which is the only rotary engine bike I know of, but I don't see Mazda making any bikes at all in the future. I just don't think it is in their agenda.

Ford owns 34% of Mazda shares and are probably looking to cash in lately ... as well Mazda is wanting to gain back its independence since business is good now .... so I heard .... but who knows ???
