Hey all, new to the forum, and I've a few questions:

I have a 2001 Tribute, bought used with 50k miles and since put 10k more on it.

My rear bumper had a losing battle with an old chair and got crunched pretty bad -- my only defense is that the chair was as big as my rear wheels, and I couldn't see it ;)
New replacement, the dealer says would cost me $380+tax, but I was wondering if there was a common good place to go to find those things used, like should I go to a junkyard or something?

Also, I was wondering what other 6cyl automatic drivers were getting in terms of gas mileage. I am running into money issues and the $35 tank is starting to feel mighty painful.

I'm thinking of selling this one and getting a middle-aged used 4cyl manual just for the gas issue... I could probably take care of an older car and see it off to greener pastures, perhaps.

Anyway, your thoughts are appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Dude 19-20? That's terrible! Mine is 2wd, with 18x8.5 wheels and 255/55/18's and I get a steady 21-22 combination. I took a hit when I put on the wheels and tires. My Mom's got one also and she reports 23. Both of ours are the V6 models and 2wd. As for the guy with 4wd, sorry to hear that man.
