I am very new to the automotive indutry, I just purchased a Mazda CX-7 Sport with the Technology Package. Now the engine in the Mazda SPEED6 seems to be the exact engine in my car. My friend says he can change the computer with software, and increase the power and torque to match the current 2.3 DISI in the 6. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? Yes No?

Does your friend work for APR or GAIC which they're well known for their performance chip and if not? which company does he represent if any. I had both version in my Jetta 04 and the GAIC was the best. If he does work for a known company then do so, you'll notice a big difference and let us know whom he works for

The transmission will not handle the torque is what we were told in school. Would not advise it.
