Is black cherry the black with red flake (just looks purple till close) that they had on the 2005 Mazda Rx-8 Shenka? That is a beautiful color and the Cx-7 is a beautiful car, I bet that combo looks crazy good!.

Im not too sure if its the exact color from that car. Im a noob when it comes to Mazda, but my friend does tell me that the color has been around a while, and it IS the same color as the one available on the Mazda6.

Yea, it looks dark purple. Almost black in the shade, but kinda black with magenta/purple pearl in the sun.

Here, see for yourself:

Yea, the color is hot fire! But, of course with any dark color, you gotta keep it clean or youll see EVERY blemish.

Copper Red Mica...sounds fresh!

That is a nice color and if you like black you may love this color...the car I thought looked more on the black side...I wish you could tell a little more that it's dark cherry. Way cool color and car though!!!! I do like the copper red mica and am dying to see the white. Enjoy CX7 owners!!
