The car starts up fine, and usaully runs pretty well. But when i turn off the car and try to drive it again it stalls out. The carr acts like its not getting any gas to the engine, and when i pump it it helps for all of 10 seconds then dies anyways. Is it fuel pump/filter? Also when i turn me wheel to the right when accelerating i hear a clicking noise coming from the front left. Just need new cv joints? help please!

Is your power steering going out, the reason why i say that is bacause your power steering belt might be going out or your a/c belt might be going out too, i would check that fist before you go into bigger things, i had that problem my self and i thought the same thing but it ended up to be a power steering belt and an a/c belt going bad.

I checked the belt but couldnt find anything wrong with it. With your problem, did the clicking occur while you were accelerating, and turning? When turning and not accelerating there is no sound. Thats what makes me think its the cv joints. I'm more worried about the stalling then the clicking, any ideas?

my problem would happen when i turn when im stoped too, it would click worse when im stoped. And like you said it sounds like a pump problem, are you throwing a cel? I also had that problem with my millenia but that happend cause i was puting dirty gas in my car, it went away when i started puting supreme gas.

I dont think itss throwing a cell, it only stalls out after its been turned off and on within 30 mins. *sigh* i guess ill just have to replace the pump tomorrow. Ill start going supreme too, it gets pretty good gas mileage so it won't be too big of an expense. Thanks for your help!

hi Greg, my mx-6 is having a similar stalling problem. You say that it stalls out after it gets up to running temperature, and after it hits running temperature it continues to run, but for only about 5 mintues correct??? well my MX-6 starts and runs beautifully, but after it has been running for about 15-20 minutes it stalls out and will start back up about 3 times and after that it has a hell of a time starting up again, i usually let it sit there and after about 10 minutes it will start and run again....sound familiar? Sounds to me that you are having an overheating problem in your ignition system, the I.C.M. or igniton control module, maybe worn out and may be overheating causing your stalling problem. I also replaced the fuel filter in my car, twice, actually and still had the same problem. My mass air flow sensor is fine and O2 sensors are also fine. If you are near and VIP stores or autozones, try having a diagnostic done and see whats up. Good Luck, John
