Cool New guy, old car

Hey all, I have come into position of a 2007 mazda3 with a fair amount of rust and 400,000 KM on the clock. I'm not too worried about this car, cause I'm going to be getting a new 2017 Mazda3 sport GT in the summer.

I also have a what I call a "build your own motorcycle kit" in my basement as I am slowly rebuilding my 1996 FZR600. I find forums are one of the best areas to find information about the car you are dealing with.

I love the mazdaspeeds (as do many) but in Canada it's impossible to find one that's not rusted to ****e. How realistic is it to take a CX-9 (same engine) and ppull the turbo out of that and slap it into the mazda3? Or do you guys know something I don't and many mazda3s and died for the cause.
