Mazda 6 warning lights
#1
While driving my 04 mazda 6 wagon with 125000 miles today, I felt a hard hit and warning lights for AT, traction control and check engine came on. Car has an automatic transmission but would not shift manually, would not rev more tan about 1500 rpm. Lost almost all power. Need help on what is wrong and what to check first.
addition;
went out to check the car and now all warning lights are off except check engine light. drove to auto zone and pulled codes. PO174, PO 171 and P2110. 171 and 174 are running lean and 2110 is Throttle actuator control system - forced limited rpm. Now I am even more confused. Please help me out.

Yes. Limp-home mode.
The codes are only a starting place. If one sensor is off, it will put the others further down the line in off mode also, so its not uncommon to receive multiple codes for a single problem.
But I am confused. Does the transmission seem to be acting up, or the engine?
Also, the code readers at AZ may not be reading any transmission codes.

check engine light was never flashing, just on. all other warning lights went out and car drove well upon restart. now this morning when I started the car there are no warning lights and even the check engine light has gone off. I did not know about limp mode, but after looking it up this morning I found that the computer goes into limp mode just so that you can limp home without any further damage to engine or transmission.
Thanks for the advise and if you can share anything else to look for it would be appreciated.

Wish I had further ideas for you, but I don't.
But if I understand the systems, a transmission error would/can cause the engine to go into limp mode as well... depending what the computer thought was happening. In other words, how catastrophic the computer thinks the problem is.
Remember these electronic gadgets are all being controlled by a single ECU, even if there are other ECU's piggybacked to them. The main computer in the car is taking in all this information and making the determination what to do with it.
Best I can do, Bud.
