Default RE: What the 6 has to offer

I bought my 6s used, and I'm not sure what it is. Some things point to GT, others point to sport. Even more point to base.

Okay, so, the 'important' things as to what it has:
6spd Sport AT -GT
17in alloy wheels with P215/50R17 all season tires -sport and up
DON'T have - Smoke-tint headlights lenses - Not sport or GS
No fog lights (I think) - base
no spoiler
cloth upholstery - base and sport
AM/FM/CD player - base and sport

So, I know I have 17" wheels (I checked today). That would imply not having the base, but I don't think I have fog lights (if I do I'm not getting the switch for them). Them I have the 6 spd AT. It might be I have the base with some odd upgrades, but I mean who gets the 6spd AT and larger rims, but a stock radio?

Oh, it's a 2006.

Hy, this is the new 6 model in Europe. cool huh? I don't know where are you people from, but here in Europe, Roumania, this is the new Mazda 6, a.k.a. Atenza. i allready heard some people complaning about the eco-paint(not so resistant on scratches_look at the pictures:Forum-Pictures) and some stupid features like : when the cleaning liquid is over, the sensors turns ON, like you didn't know that it is over) The ESP isn't so great , on a rainy day you cand lose control for a few seconds. I don't know why so many problems, dose somebody know if ther is a "special lot" for EstEurope? The car looks great ....

I agree, how can you tell? I know my car has 17' wheels. How can you tell if it's the type i or type s...
I think it's the sport package? But I have no idea how to tell...

also another question. I heard that the speed 6's didn't come out until 2006.. well mine is only a 2003 and my registration, and stuff that I've gotten, say it's a speed 6? Doesn't make sense to me.

Trackers post was referring to North American 6's. We didn't have the choice of the 2.0L over here. (Top speed is on a limiter - the car can go faster than that, but it takes some programming wizardry)

Default 2009 Mazda 6

Having checked out all the competition, I can say the 2009 6 offers plenty to a potential purchaser. Starting with design: The 6 has a unique, sporty, and elegant design with a much lower than most new vehicles drag CD of .27 Interior design: The 6 has a thoroughly modern interior and dash design with quality materials through out. It also has an unbeatable combination of passenger room and trunk space. Driveability: The 6 has well weighted steering with the right combination of effort and feedback to satisfy most enthusiasts. The ride handling balance is very good with a fair amount of body roll especially considering the increase in size over the previous generation. The 6 has a very solid feel on the road. The 2.5 I4 is very smooth and the vehicle is very quiet overall. I have the 6spd manual and the gearbox is very direct and smooth shifting with only a little notchiness noticed going into 5th and 6th gear. 1-4 are syncronized and are typically smoother. Clutch take up is smooth, and easy to modulate. This engine doesn't feel like it has an abundance of torque, and doesn't seem to very flexible. Of course mine at 500 miles is still not fully broken in yet, so this may improve over time. I have yet to rev over 4000 RPM. Features: The 6 comes standard with pretty much everything you could possibly want on a vehicle including DSC and TCS and my 6 is only an I Sport. Price: With the incentives Mazda is offering currently on the new 6, it is an impossible value to beat and a great drive.
