Default Power train/window tinting

When my car was serviced in March, the mechanic said that he noticed a lot of "engine oil leaks from oil pan." He said I should check with Mazda to see if the power train was covered under an extended warranty. I haven't done that yet. Should I be worried about this? (What is a power train?!)

Also, I'm thinking about getting the back side windows tinted, hoping that it'll help keep the rear seat (and my dog) cool. Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks very much!
