Red face fan control module

hi...my 2005 mazda 6 has just started having fan problems. i asked the shop and they told me that the fan control module is the problem but that the part is near $400. Is the fan control module program still in effect? Is there a mileage cut off? My car is near 100,000 miles (I love driving my car). any help would be appreciated.

Default fan control

Just started having this problem, came to the forum to find info and found this thread. My 04 MZDA 6 has about 78k on it. Called the dealer and its still covered. They also said there is another recall for the car - MST 10 - dont know what it is yet but im getting ready to look for it. Im scheduled for repair on Tuesday.

Default Is it just 6cyl?

Names Dennis and live in Taylorsville KY. Bought my 6 in 2005. Love it so far, but just ran into my first issue. This morning I noticed I could no longer switch from outside air to recirculating the inside cabin air. It used to switch from a green outside light, to an orange recirculate light. And along those lines, the a/c compressor comes on when I turn the fan on, not when I hit the a/c button. Dosent come on when its turned to defrost either. Just when the fan is turned on. Worked fine yesterday, so anyone have any thoughts? Thanks, Dennis

Default cooling fan module

I have a 2003 MPV. The cooling fan module runs nonstop. It even kept running when I turned off the engine on two different occasions. Could this be the same thing?

This has nothing to do with the A/C, does it? My A/C has gone out twice on me. I purchased my car used and the dealer fixed it while it was under warranty then the next summer it went out again. Anyone experiencing issues like this???

Default Fan problem again!

I have an '03 with 56 K miles on it. The fan was repaired in 2004 due to recall but it is now back again. It runs all the time, even after I turn off the engine. I have to turn the key on again then off again for it to stop. Does anyone know if Mazda is still responsible for repairing the problem?

Default Fan Control Module

Hello Guys,
I have tried many modules of selling on ePay's, but anything has not lasted one years longer. I've 2004 Maza 6 S 3.0L vehicle. What's now? Where I can order original kind of module?

just got one made by Beck-Arnley on Amazon. Quick install if you also release the PS pump reservoir so you can get to the hidden 10 mm bolt on the FCM - pretty easy install - make sure you remove the Air cleaner too and it goes quickly. my fan stopped running after you shut the car down when I did this - it had never run on like that before it started a couple of months ago.
