Programming keyless entry fob

Programming keyless entry fob
I've looked around about programming a fob but haven't gotten the exact answer I was lookin for.
We bought a 2009 Mazda 5 Sport used. We got one full flip key with keyless entry that works and one transponder key that opens and starts the car just fine. I want to get a fob to go along with the key that doesn't have a keyless entry remote. I know you need at least two keys to program a fob. Does that mean you need two fobs or will the fact we have two valid keys be enough even if one does not have keyless entry? Want to know before I go on ebay and buy a fob for $40.
Thanks!

As long as its not the smart key, programing fob is simple. Have both keys in hand. Start with drivers door open, Key out of ignition. 1. Place key in ignition and turn ignition from run to lock 3 times ending up with key in off position. Leave key IN the ignition. 2. Close and open drivers doo 3 times ending with door open. If vehicle enters program mode, door locks will cycle twice. 3. Press the unlock button on fob twice. Door locks should cycle if successful. Do the same with second fob. After fobs have been programed, remove key from ignition. Door locks should cycle twice to indicate leaving program mode.
Both fobs should work.
Both fobs should work.
