Default S-plan pricing and model availability

Hi folks, I'm looking into buying an '06 3GT 5 door and could do this through Mazda's "S-Plan". Anyone have experience with the S-Plan and how it compares to the old arguing method? Second question is on availability...there are hardly any '06 GT 5-door 5-speeds around...according to the mazda websight stock locator there is a single car available within 100 miles of me. Is this tight supply, model line, ??? Thanks for your insight.

I just bought a 3GT four door with the S-Plan. Definitely can save you money but you still have to be careful. I recieved 3 price quotes with a difference of almost $800. If you go to the web site to register for your S-Plan be sure to print out the S-plan prices for the Mazda 3. Two of the three dealers told me they were wrong and wanted $200-300 more. The third (where I bought it) showed me the invoice that had exactly the price I had. The other places where they can cheat are if you want any dealer installed accessories. They don't have to give you the S-Plan price on those. I had the remote start and a spoiler installed and the difference in price from the highest to lowest was over $250 for those two items. Also the dealer I bought from gave me $500 off the S-Plan price.

Hope that helps and good luck.

Thanks joetroy. Can Mazdas be ordered from the factory like the domestics, or does a dealer just have to search all over for the exact car that is wanted?

Yes I was told that they could be ordered but it would take at least two months and that the production for the 2006 model year was near ending. Dealers can look at trading with other dealers and also look at cars that have been ordered but not delivered yet. If you want to try and order one, I think you better move fast. I thought I heard April was the latest to order.

I had a hard time finding my 2006 Mazda 3 GT 5 door with sport auto in Black mica. I was only able to find one that fit what i was looking for and Anehiem Mazda, CA had it. i felt very good about the price they gave me as well..i got my car OTD for $22,300.00 And they didn't throw any punches with me or try and quickies. They were great to deal with. And i didn't have to haggle for that price either,..i called them and asked how much better they could do on the price and the guy shave $2000 off no problem,..i said i'd take it, and bought it the next day. My local Mazda dealer had the same car but without leather, bose, sunroof, sport auto, and wasn't a GT, and they wanted over $22,000 OTD!! Anyways,..hope i was ofsome help.

Just wanted to mention,
I just purchased MAzda 3s not a T or GT, No sunroof, no Leather, No HIDs, everything else is exactly the same with the stock Mazda 3s for $19,900 out of the door, including all their fee's, new tag and so on. Was it a good price? Cause there is a lady i know who bought the same MAzda 3s White Pearl as i have, and it seems like it is GT 2006, she got it for $19,000, including HID, Leather, Sunroof with CD changer, so I thought that my price was ****ty comparing to her, EXCEPT that when she told me she bought it throw some credit UNION, whereas he got some discount, HOw? WHY? and so on i don't know, but the price seems cheap, may be she did trad in or something.
