Talking New Mazda3 Owner Looking to Debunk a Rumor

Hello Forum! It's my first time here and I'm excited to get started, I've just purchased a 2015 Mazda3.

I heard right off the bat that there's some things you can do with the SD card in the new Mazda models. Specifically that because it's a simple setup, people had made new programs/UIs for the heads-up display and Mazda software. Is this true? I've made initial efforts to find any of these things, but hadn't been able to!

Thanks!

Default I wondered the same.....

At least, It would be nice if one could change the "desktop" background image on the infotainment system to something else than what is provided. But I suspect Mazda and the program provider they use had put in all sorts of security firewalls and barriers in the program to avoid any liability from owners tampering with their stuff........ nothing that a really good hacker could do but you will run the risk of fritzing things up on the car and then trying to explain to Mazda what happened when you try to get things repaired.....
