Default 19" rims

Hello

Just got my Mazda 3 GT, and looking to install 19" rims, any problems when utilizing this size of wheels?

Thanks

I've heard of problems with 18 inchers. Why so big? I don't understand it.

You'd have to run something around a 215 or 225/35R19 tire. Don't go over a 7.5" width and you want the offset at 45-52mm. (the closer to 52 the better.)

I sure hope you don't have potholes where you live.

a big pothole would cause large amounts of damage when the tire hits the car since the tire is so big.

the 17's on the car look great, whats wrong with them?

I really like the looks of a big wheels they fill the gap between tire and fender (I'm not a bling bling fan so I will install something that will look sport and clean). Today I went to the local tire shop and they told me just exactly what Mr. sstlaure said, if anyone is having issues with 18" it must be cause they went over 7.5 or the recommended tire size. I should be buying the wheels soon and will post PICS.

Thanks for all comments.

you shouldn't have to big of a problem with your wheels. i got 18X7.5" Konigs with 235/35 R18. i just installed my mazdaspeed springs today and so far i haven't had any problems.

I've also seen 225/40R18 tires run on a Mazda3 without issues. (On 18x8 stock RX-8 wheels) I'm not sure of the offset.

I'm running 225/45R17 on 17x7 Mazda6 wheels (60mm offset) with an Eibach pro-kit drop (1" front, 1.2" rear on my 3i sedan). The drop made all the difference in the world in closing up the wheelwell gap. I highly recommend it.
