$75 is pretty steep, considering you can buy 5 quarts of Mobil 1 or Castrol Syntec (both fully synthetic) at Walmart for under $25. The last time I bought a 5 quart jug it was only $21 on sale. If the dealer is charging you a $40 PREMIUM, that means they are making about $50 on the oil because they surely get it for less than Walmart charges for it, PLUS they were making a profit on the non-synthetic oil they would have normally put in the car.

By the way... the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act makes it illegal for car dealers to force you to use them for service or void the warranty. However, many car dealers will still lead you to believe that if you don't use them for regular maintenance you will void your warranty. It's a lie and a ploy they use to trick you into buying the high-priced routine maintenance from them. You can go to Jiffy Lube or change your oil yourself. It won't void your warranty.
