Unhappy Bose system malfunction (possible short or bad amp)

Anyone have a problem with there Bose factory sound system shorting out? I have a Mazda 3 2011 Grand Touring hatch with the Bose navigation package. It started out as a loud pop sound through the speakers while listening to the radio. The pop sound started to get worse, thought it was because I hit a bump not the case. I went to get in my car before and I heard the popping sound directly through the speakers without the ignition even turned on. Started the car OK tried to turn the radio off but it was still popping away. I turned the car off waited a minute turned it on again. turned the car and radio on again and now there's no sound at all. Sorry for the long story but hopefully someone can help before I take it to the dealer

Not knowing where in the world you are, & If your car is LHD or RHD is hard.

I've had a RHD BL with Bose having the same issue, the Bose amp is mounted under the drivers seat ( RHD ) there should be 3 wiring connectors, unplug 1 at a time and see if the popping stops. This particular 1 I worked on left the window down & it rained. the amp & wiring connectors were wet. Removed it, dried it out, didn't fix it.

Reaper is right. Sounds like an AMP problem to me. No way I know of to bypass it. It will probably need replaced to get your tunes back.

Yea I definitely had a feeling it was the amp. I'm trying to track down one without buying brand new. I wonder if anyone had tried to open and rebuild them
