2012 Mazda3 SkyActiv and Fumoto oil valve?

Anyone have a Fumoto quick drain oil valve installed in their 2.0L SkyActiv 2012? Is there enough clearance to install the valve or is the extender needed?

TIA for any advice.

I have one on mine (non-nipple version). Fits just fine without the extender.
