Rough idle when cold, Can anybody tell me where the IAC is located and best way to get this off cheers Mazda 2 1.4 Anteres 55 plate many thanks.

 

my experience is that when the iac goes south, you get a cel code. why? because the iac is a little motor, that thing either works or not. but when the engine is cold, it works on open loop mode (ignores a few sensors). what year is your car? check your intake air temp sensor, egr, coolant temp sensor.... do you have a cel code?

 

Thanks Juanky do not have a cel code its a 55 plate. It starts if i keep it at 1500 rpm for 3-4 mins then it idles ok if not it just cuts out. i bought an online man off ebay but it is really hard to find out where the components are off it, im going to have another go tomoz any advice appreciated cheers.
