Default 2004 Mazda 2

Hi,
I Have an issue with the ABS on my Mazda 2, I believe the issue is with the nearside rear wheel.
I recently changed that wheel bearing, and I could have potentially damaged something to do with the magnetic pickup.
I have an idea that the outer ring which covers the bearing contains the magnetic strip?
I need to know if my guess is correct before spending out on a new ring

Thanks.

I have the same 2004 Mazda 2, and changed my ABS rings because they were damaged. Unknown to me, the rear bearings of this mazda are dual-bearings(two fused as one) and when they are worn out they come apart and push the ABS ring awkwardly from the rear rotor squeezing it onto the ABS sensor and because of this the ABS ring rubber gets torn and the ABS light appears on the dash.

The new bearings you put have to be replaced by proper compression into the rotor socket in such a way that they fit evenly and completely within the rotor. If this is not done properly, the rotor will damage the ABS ring ring rubber against the ABS sensor and the problem will recur.
