I have a 2010 Mazda Tribute with a 4cyl 2.5l engine.
The vehicle has a whine when the car is under load usually above 3000rpm.
I feel like its coming from the transmission.
has anyone had the same problem? or know of the same problem?

 

Typically a whine on accel points to the differential. I would check/change the differential fluid though it is usually too late once they start whining. It could be from the trans but lets hope not. That would likely be the planetary and require an overhaul. A whining differential can last another 100k.
