Rear Window Snapped off Hinge
My rear window snapped off it's hinge yesterday on my 2001 Mazda Tribute. It looks like there was some rust. The window is still in tact.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have attached the pictures to this thread.
Thanks

I had this same problem on my 2001 model. The only way I could fix it was to have the hinge replaced. There may be a less expensive easy fix but I sure don't know what it might be. Perhaps others here have had this problem and know an easier way to fix it....Good luck

Been there, done that :)
I had to replace the hinge. You might as well do both of them - I'll bet the other isn't in much better shape. Easy to do (I think PartSource had them here in Edmonton, Alberta), all you need is a Torx driver of the correct size. A drop or two of Krazy Glue probably wouldn't hurt (you certainly don't want to over-tighten them and shatter the glass, but you don't want the bolt coming loose, either).
No pics, sorry But it took all of oh about 15 minutes to replace both of them.
Good luck

I have a 2003 Mazda Tribute and the right rear hinge bolt snapped. I got the replacement part and it doesn't seem to line up with the former holes. Does anyone have any tips on how to install/replace the rear hinges? Thank you.
