I have a 2001 mazda tribute and i cant get out of park. The bakes and everything works and starts. The trans lcd shows a box around the reverse and 1, sometimes even neutral. It was less difficult before because there was always a box around the park, letting me shift out. However, no box around the park now so i cant shift out. I was able to once lately by just rocking the lever a hundred times until the box showed on the park. I checked the shift cable and it is still on the rod, but read that can be trans range or neutral safety switch????
