Hello all. I'm a new member and have to vent my frustration at a 2008 Mazda Tribute GT we purchased 1 months ago. I've had 2 MPV's with absolutely no issues but felt it time to get out of the mini-van. We traded for a 2008 Tribute with 36,000km. After 2 weeks the transmission failed. After getting the run around from the dealer where we purchased the vehicle we took this to Mazda dealer in Edmonton, Alberta because it was still under warranty. At first the Mazda dealer told us the repair was not covered because it was not a Mazda transmission (go figure!). After finding out that all warranty repairs are entered into a national database we discovered the vehicle's already had 2 transmission replacements. The first in Sherwood Park Alberta the second in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Once this was pointed out, the dealer agreed to replace the transmission under warranty. This is very frustrating and much as I'd love to ditch the car I can't afford the financial hit. To make things wore we are now without a decent vehicle to take on vacation next week as the vehicle won't be fixed.

Just need to get this off my chest and find out of anyone else has experienced transmission issues. Please someone reassure me that Mazda can fix this issue.
