Default 05 tribute rumbles between 30 and 40 mph then smooths out

My tribute sounds like I'm driving over rumble strips when I'm between 30 and 40 mph and then stops once I'm past 40 mph i was told it was the half shaft so i replaced it and it still doing it.

4 wheel drive? I've seen the joints on the rear drive shaft seize but it's been awhile and I don't recall the rumble speeds. If the drive shaft bolts up on both the transfer case and diff, you should be able to remove it and take a ride. See if that eliminates the rumble.

It's awd. The car lot that hosed me on it said they replaced one of the u joints but I can't really trust anything they say.

Actually 95% of the time the car is front wheel drive and only uses 4 wheel drive if you select it or the sensors detect an amount of slip in one of the front wheels and will engage the rear as needed to keep traction

But everything is still turning 100% of the time as long as the rear wheels aren't dragging.
