sunroof will not seat

my sunroof works, but when closing the last step is to bump up and latch .It does not . the gasket does not seal . leaves like 1/4 inch gap. I tried pushing nothing helps . searched and don't find any threads?

There are 4 bolts holding the panel on. Remove the panel to see what is going on with the mechanism.
