Removing rack and pinion
1- break the lugs on front wheels
2-jack up front of car a properly support it, chock rear wheels and apply parking break
2a- remove the lower skid plate and the other plate that runs the from front to back of engine compartment there are about 9-17 mm bolt and 15mm nuts, That hold the front engine mount
3- remove the 4 17 mm bolts hold the rack to frame
4- remove the 4-17mm bolts holding the rear motor mount, support the engine with jack and a piece of wood under oil pan
5 - remove the 2 10mm bolts that are on the passenger side of the rack its a bracket that holds the power steering hoses
6- remove the 12mm bolt that is for the shifter linkage
7- remove the 14mm spring bolts that are from the header to the cat and support the exhaust system with a jack stand
8- remove the cotter pin and nuts off tie rod ends, hit the assembly near the tie rod and it will pop out
9- move into the interior and remove the cover at the base of steering column then remove the 3 10 mm nuts and slide up the rubber cover.YOU WILL SEE THE STEERING KNUCKLE MAKE DURE THE STEERING WHEEL IS STRAIGHT AT ALL TIMES loosen both 12 mm bolts slide the knuckle up and off make note of the locations on the steering shaft
10- inside the engine compartment remove the pressure side hose from the pump17mm bolt don't loose the 2 copper washers
remove the clamps the hold the hoses in place. Snake that hose thru the opening
On the passenger side pull the shaft out a little and remove the low pressure hose by removing the clamp and pulling the hose off REMEMBER THE LET IT DRAIN INTO A
