Default Charging issues

1997 Protege 1.5 engine has a new alternator that tests OK, good battery, swapped out the PCM with no change. Ten volts at the back of the alternator. If battery is disconnected the car will stall out. This car will not charge the battery. Any Ideas?

10v isn't enough to even keep the FI working properly. I would guess that you have found the problem yourself.
Has that alernator been load tested on the bench? Do you have an Auto Zone near that you might be able to take it to?

it should be reading about 14 v at the back of the alternator. that looks like the problem. it might just be a bad connection on the alternator if the alternator is testing fine.
