99' Protoge DX 1.6 Alternator Mount Bolt Stripped
Hi all,
New to the forum. I have a protoge. It's a boss and never gives me problems. Long story short my alternator went and I stripped the hell out of mounting screw on the bottom taking the old alternator out. Ive done search after search and gone from autopart store to autopart store and I can't find this bolt for sale anywhere. Why? Any suggestions. Please and thanks.

That's next for me. The local junkyard is on dirt and all the cars are on the ground which is a big job to get a jack under etc. Access to bolt is under the car. I'd honestly rather pay $12 for a bolt lol.

Did u try a fastener/ bolt specialty supplier. I had a similar issue when changing out control arm/ball joint. Stripped bolt with impact gun..couldnt find bolt even @ dealer went to a few auto supply places including napa...no luck found bolt in Canadian Tire store with big slider rack of diy metric bolts...Does it thread into a welded nut or just on bolt? If not then stick a regular bolt in there doesnt have to be metric....
