While driving last night I heard a "pop" from the right front of my 98 B2500SE 2WD 4Cyl...

On inspection, I found an ODD 4 inch diameter Spherical plastic ball with 2 lines (could be vacuum, could be ??) had snapped off of the area directly behind the right front lights and was just dangling and swinging just in front of the right front wheel. I zip tied it up out of the way but the ties did not hold and it fell and started bouncing off the wheel (lovely sound). I now have it tucked up on top of the fender liner.

Since I can't tell where the lines go and what the heck this thing is, I figured someone here would know and could let me know what it is. I have never seen anything like it and just want to know what it is...

Nope but mystery solved. Stopped and talked to my mechanic. Vacuum Can.
