I'm looking at buying a 2003 B3000 truck. It has some problems and from my diagnosis I'm assuming the worst, that I'll have to do a full head gasket replacement on it if I buy it. I've replaced the head gasket on a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee I6 so i'm confident I can handle it. But what's that job like on the B3000? Are there any pitfalls on this model I should be aware of? Any other advice to a potential buyer?

 

The 1994 and newer Mazda trucks are clones of the Ford Ranger and made in USA. So check the Ranger sites.

Decent trucks, just different than the older made-in-Japan trucks.
