Default need some advise

Hey guys, I'm new on this forum looking to get some help. I currently drive a Mazda B2500 TLE 4 banger. I want to get the B4000 4x4 v6 & am looking a 2 trucks...one is a 1999 with 75k very clean looks mostly stock. The other truck is a 2001 with 84k with front grill guard new rancho 5000 also very clean truck. Any changes in the motor from 99 to 01.....thanks for any help

The 99 is a pushrod engine. The 01 is an overhead cam engine. Both good engines but the 01 rotating assembly has more parts and is more labor intensive to work on. Simple is good. The 99 is much more labor friendly to work on. Crawl under both though and check for rust. IMO the least rusted wins. Assuming no or few oil leaks.
