Default Mazda 2200...no fuel,no start!

Hi
Im new here. I have a 1990 Mazda B2200 automatic.I went the other evening to a friends place.worked fine,as always,,then when i went to start it to go home,,,it would turn over, but no way would it start.I checked the relays,,they look good..there is NO gas comming from the filter........This is a fuel injected ingine. there was no gas leak from any lines....
I am wondering if the fuel pump is gone bad?...I am getting a used fuel pump, and tank and slipping it on next week...Will this solve the problem?
Also will a B2600 tank fit a B2200 truck?........I hope you can shed some light on this for me...i have no truck till i get her running!
Thanks!!

does sound like a fuel pump. also use a test light to make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump.

Hi
Well i say the relays looked good, for i exchanged the headlight relay with the fuel pump relay "same voltage"..and it still didnt start...and there was no gas comming from the upper side of the fuel filter.......so i am figuring that it is the fuel pump.
I have a seconed hand pump, and tank,to put in it,,but another guy told me to just put an "inline" pump on,and connect the wires to this, and that was the same thing.I was wondering if that will work. Do i,,and can i get an inline pump for a Mazda that year"1990"?..and dosnt all pumps put out different pressures?....and will this system work?......Ill tell ya,it would be easier to do that, than taking down the tank, and installing another .
Sorry for all the questions,,but i just dont know about these things. And also.how do i test the wires to the fuel pump?.Can i get to them from above the tank, with the tank still bolted on the truck? Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thank you.
